Jack Lawrence and I will be performing the Jack ‘n Paddy Show on Sunday, May 9 in Free Range Brewing. We’ll be pickin’ all of your favorite tunes from 3 pm until 5 pm in the Free Range listening room. The room is set up with chairs and tables for social distancing. Jack and I wish to say a tremendous “THANK YOU” to all of the fine folks who came out to support our live music on April 11. We were overwhelmed with your company and your generosity! Kaybob and I will be joining forces with the Caldwell Rotary Club, Liquid Roots, and Rick Cannon for a big fund-raiser for local scholarships on Friday, May 21 from 5 pm until 9 pm at Liquid Roots Brewing Project in Lenoir, NC. There will be plenty of good food, humor, and libations available.
Red Rocking Chair will be filming Song of the Mountains on Saturday, June 5 at 7 pm in the Lincoln Theatre in Marion, Virginia. Jack Lawrence, Tom Kuhn, Dale Meyer, and I would love to see you there. The Strictly Clean and Decent boys and girl will be performing at the Linville Falls Winery on Saturday, June 19 from 3 pm until 5 pm. This is a beautiful venue with plenty of room for social distancing. You can just hear the strings echoing off the grapes! Kaybob, Rondo, and I can’t wait to play songs just for you and say “Howdy.”
The 23rd Annual Caldwell Traditional Musicians Showcase Hey Diddle Diddle the Cats with the Fiddles, has been rescheduled for Saturday, July 31 at 7:30 pm in the J. E. Broyhill Civic Center. We look forward to seeing everyone for a big night of Caldwell County music. We will be featuring Bob Kogut and the Wurst Brothers, The Brushy Mountain Buddies, The Butter Beans, Matt Davis and Tony Soldati, Sarah Olgetree-Ritter and William Ritter, and more. The Strictly Clean and Decent boys and girl will be in rare form along with our brilliant emcee, Nancy Posey. I’ll have more information as we near the date.
