YADKINVILLE, N.C. — Artists from Yadkin, Stokes, Surry, Caswell and Rockingham counties in North Carolina have until Sept. 30 to apply for North Carolina Arts Counci Artist Support Grants. Stokes, Surry and Yadkin counties are Appalachian counties, as are two from Region 11 — Davie and Forsyth.

The North Carolina Arts Council Region 10 was created to provide direct support to individual artists during and following the COVID-19 pandemic. Artists representing visual, craft, performing, traditional, and interdisciplinary art forms are encouraged to apply. Applicants should demonstrate a commitment to spending a significant portion of their time on their work as artists. The Artist Support Grants will support new or ongoing projects that take place between January 1, 2022 and December 31, 2022 (all grant funding must be spent by June 30, 2022). Awards may range from $500-$1000. Applicants may receive full or partial funding.
