FROST, W.Va. — As reported yesterday, U.S. Senator of Joe Manchin has betrayed the people of his state for attempting to fast track the MVP by attaching it to the so-called “Fiscal Responsibility Act.” If successful, Manchin’s effort will undermine Constitutional rights of free speech and assembly, bypass regulatory requirements, and prevent judicial review.

So, he has not only betrayed his state, he has betrayed his nation, clearly disregarding his oath of office. In short, Manchin is a tyrant!

Reader Allen Johnson of Christians for the Mountains and the Eight Rivers Council in Pocahontas County, W.Va. expressed perfectly why this is so. In responding to yesterday’s article, Johnson wrote last evening, “I just now read the bill. I am disgusted, angry, and engaged. Worse even than the harm the MVP would do, is that Manchin is throwing under the bus regulatory agencies and courts. In other words, hostage-taking. Manchin is an enemy of democracy and America, as this latest action shows. And Biden, weak and inept and ego-centric, sidles up to Manchin.  Biden carries a lot of the blame for letting Manchin steer his ship, just as McCarthy lets Marjorie Taylor Greene and ilk to run his ego-centric boat.
