LENOIR, N.C. – Patrick Crouch has shared that tonight’s “Paddy’s Something in the Water” at Liquid Roots will feature Bob Kogut and Terry Edwards, who recently shared remembrances from his fascinating and dedicated half-century of playing music. Kogut is a member of the Blue Ridge Music Trails. Patrick Crouch is also.
The show begins at 6:30.
Crouch shared, “Tonight we feature home-made songs and home-made fiddles! Terry Edwards has been a creative force in this neck of the woods for many years. I first became aware of him when his parody of ‘Please Come to Boston’ was prominent on our local radio. I started many a day with a smile on my face listening to ‘Please Come to Rhodhiss!’ Make your way out to Liquid Roots this Wednesday to hear Terry’s most recent compositions and get to enjoy the essence of the man.”
He continued, “Bob Kogut has been in Caldwell County since the late 1900’s and he has single-handedly brought about a fiddle renaissance. There are more fine fiddles and fiddle players in Caldwell County than I can ever remember thanks to Bob. His passion for fiddle music and building fiddles is unsurpassed. He is a jewel in our community and I hope you come out Wednesday to meet the man and hear what he is all about.”
