YADKINVILLE, N.C. – The Yadkin Arts Council will present “Birds Through a Camera’s Lens”  by bird photographer David Collins of Winston-Salem in an exhibit that will run from May 2 – June 21 in the Welborn Gallery at the Yadkin Cultural Arts Center. An opening reception will be held on Thursday, May 2 from 5-7 p.m. in the Welborn Gallery to celebrate this exhibit. Refreshments will be served. Admission is free and all are welcome to attend.

“Birds Through a Camera’s Lens” features original bird photographs from the Americas printed on metal panels using a HD sublimation process. This exhibit is presented in partnership with the Yadkin Arts Council and Audubon NC. Photos will be available for sale and proceeds will benefit these organizations.

About the Artist:

David Collins, MD retired from medical practice 10 years ago and found a second career and passion as a bird photographer. He has photographed birds locally, across the U.S. and Canada, and in Central and South America. He is active with various land and wildlife conservancies and hopes his photography can be of benefit in focusing attention on the protection of birds, land preservation, and climate change. He has lived in Winston Salem, N.C. with his wife Carole for the past 30 years.
