ALUM BRIDGE, W.Va. – As I wrote in a separate article, Myra Bonhage-Hale, a herbalist, author, activist and environmentalist passed away at the age of 90 on July 2. A vocal opponent of the Mountain Valley Pipeline (MVP), her life was an extraordinary example of joy, love, and peace. You can read that article here.
Myra was also an extraordinary artist. One of the last times I visited her, we discovered several watercolor prints of her homestead in Alum Bridge. She entrusted them to me and I share them with you below.

I lived for 15 years in W.VA,in Bridgeport.
I worked at Sharpe hospital as the Clinical director of the hospital( faculty at W.V university ).
Myra & I became good friends ,as I was interested in her gardening & growing herbs.I visited her at her farm several times & we were in touch until last year.
I used to buy her herbal sprays regularly.
I am so,so saddened to know she has passed away.
