YADKINVILLE, N.C. – The Yadkin Arts Council will present the 39th annual Yadkin Bluegrass Convention on Saturday, April 4, 2026 at Yadkinville Elementary School, located on US Highway 601 North in Yadkinville, N.C.

Doors open at 11:30 a.m., with youth competitions beginning at 1 p.m. and senior competitions beginning at 3 p.m.. Musicians of all ages are welcome to perform and compete in a variety of categories including bluegrass banjo, fiddle, mandolin, guitar, dobro, acoustic bass, and vocals. Over $3,000 in cash prizes will be awarded to the top three Senior Bluegrass Bands, top three Junior Bluegrass Bands, and top three individual junior and senior performers. The evening will include a live performance by Travis Watts & Mountain Blessings at 6 p.m. followed by the band competition at 6:30 p.m.

Admission is $12 for general admission and $10 for competitors (includes admission and entry fee), while children 8-years-old and under are free. Throughout the day, attendees can also enjoy concessions and food trucks, making the convention a fun and family-friendly event for musicians and bluegrass fans.
