LENOIR, N.C. – Tony Deal’s book, “But that’s not true!” is available for purchase online effective today. It can be purchased at Seedbed Press.
In my recent interview of Deal, he explained he wrote the book because he was motivated by an urgent desire to address the loss of truth, trust and the Golden Rules that have guided the American people and ideals for 250 years.
Deal says, “Not since Thomas Paine’s ‘Common Sense’ in 1776 has America so urgently needed the written word, the arts, and humanities to rally citizens against the rise of another king. If not now… when?”
He continues, “But That’s Not True” sounds the alarm. It holds a mirror up to complacency and fuels the ‘NO KINGS’ movement.
“Through storytelling, humor, and satire, this book sparks a vital conversation about leaders who value truth – and the dangerous consequences when they don’t.” He notes it contains vital lessons for youngsters and adults alike:
- For younger readers: It is a fable about the virtues of trust, and a reminder that a free society is always just one lie away from tyranny.
- For adults: It is a sharp, accurate satire of today’s political landscape and how falsehoods are used to divide us.
He explains, “I am not a career writer or a professional author. I am just one person who refused to sit by and stay angry. I had to do something. This book is my effort.”
